Let's face it--the instruction manual(s) for the RCA Studio II are fairly hard, if not impossible, to find. If you own a Studio II, you know the story--plug it in, turn it on, and guess what--nothing on the screen! Press the clear button, and still--nothing on the screen! The Studio II is not known for its user friendliness.
While these are not the original instructions, they will give you the basics necessary to actually play with a Studio II if you own one, or should you ever obtain one. So away we go!
KEYSTROKES (note: player 1 is the A keypad, player 2 is B keypad)

8 - Right, downward hook
PLAYING
1. Push CLEAR.
2. Press A3 (A being the left-hand keypad).
3. The screen will now display a scorecard. The number in the upper-left side of the screen is Player A's score, the upper right is Player B's score, and the bottom of the screen is the frame number.
4. When the scorecard disappears, the alley will appear. The "ball" will be moving up and down, while the 10 pins are on the right side of the screen. When the ball is in the position you desire, press the key that corresponds to the type of throw you wish to make.
SCORING
Strike: 20 points (ST-20 appears in the lower-left corner of the alley)
Spare: 15 points (ST-15 appears in the lower-left corner of the alley)
If anything else is thrown, the two scores are added.
END OF YOUR TURN
When either all the pins are knocked down or you have thrown two balls, the scorecard reappears. Then Player 2 takes his or her turn, playing on keypad B.
